Why Do You Need Travel Insurance?

So you have your VISA and your flight is booked, next step Soccer and College in USA.

Any students who are planning to jet out to USA on soccer scholarship will NEED personal Long Stay Travel Insurance, which includes medical cover, remember the U.S does not have a NHS (National Health Service) that covers medical needs for everyone.

Most US colleges will have medical cover for on-campus incidents/accidents, but do not cover any “Off-Campus” incidents/accidents and this can be very expensive.

If you think insurance is too high for you budget or you feel as a fit healthy young person, insurance really is an unnecessary expense, just take a look at the cost’s that could potentially be incurred. If you are ill and require hospital treatment, please note:

Emergency Room care – averages a minimum $200 per visit (not including charges or services)

Overnight stay in a hospital room - $1,000 approx (not including charges for Doctors or any other medical services required)

Think twice about not taking out health insurance

We have teamed up with two Long Stay Travel specialists who are based in the UK, to make sure you are adequately covered whilst you are at college in the USA. Both companies have a wealth of knowledge in this field and have produced unique STUDY ABROAD schemes for student travel on official study or work experience abroad. Together we aim to give students and their parents the confidence and satisfaction that in the unlikely event should you need to make a claim, you’re covered and help is at hand.

See below for the two options that are available.

Please note that the STUDY ABROAD policy is designed for students who definitely intend returning back to the United Kingdom within the period of insurance.

Travel Insurance1

OPTION 1

This package has the flexibility of providing off-campus cover and will go hand in hand with the Health Insurance offered by individual College/University.

You can be covered for as little as £216 for ten months, so that means if you are jetting off to the USA in August and intend to return to the UK in May and college covers your college sport and/or illness, this is the one for you.
